1. Data Controller

2. Collection and Processing of Data

We collect and process data required for the provision, usage, and billing of our ERP software. This includes:

  • Inventory data: Company name, name, email, payment information.
  • Content data: Data entered by the customer into the software (customer addresses, orders, material lists, documents).
  • Usage data: IP addresses, login times, click behavior, utilized features.

3. Hosting and Data Location

Our software "Bündig" and all associated data (including the customer's content data) are hosted on servers provided by the cloud provider Linode (a service of Akamai Technologies). The servers are located in certified data centers in Germany. Germany is recognized by Switzerland as a country with an adequate level of statutory data protection.

4. Use of Analytics Tools (PostHog)

To understand how our software is used in daily workshop operations and to quickly identify errors, we use the analytics tool PostHog. User interactions and technical metrics are recorded. This data helps us optimize the user experience and develop targeted new features.

5. Data Utilization for AI and Product Development

We use the data processed through our platform to continuously improve our services and develop new technologies. For this purpose, user and content data are anonymized by us. These anonymized datasets are used to train Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms and models. Since this process no longer allows any conclusions to be drawn about specific individuals or craft businesses, these anonymized datasets are no longer subject to the restrictions of the Data Protection Act.

6. Sharing Data with Third Parties

We only share personal data with service providers if this is necessary to fulfill the contract. This specifically applies to:

  • Our hosting provider Linode (Germany).
  • Payment service providers (e.g., Stripe) to process subscription fees.
  • Service providers for application monitoring and analytics (e.g., PostHog).

Data processing agreements are in place with these service providers, guaranteeing secure data processing strictly in accordance with our instructions.

7. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect our users' data against manipulation, loss, or unauthorized access. However, the customer is responsible for locally backing up their documents (e.g., by downloading PDF invoices and quotes) on a regular basis.

8. Rights of Data Subjects

Under the applicable Swiss Data Protection Act (nDSG), users have the right to request access to, rectification, deletion, or restriction of the processing of their stored personal data.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy at any time. The current version will be published on our website or within the software.
